Book your Experience at the Acetaia and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of Balsamic Vinegar: discover our production rooms where the magic of the precious "Black Gold" is born and taste the best of the Acetaia Malpighi Collection, discovering the special composition of the Balsamic Vinegar bouquet.

Guided tours are free of charge and organized by reservation only; they are open to small and large groups and last from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 60 minutes. They are held in Italian or foreign languages (English and French), at one of our locations depending on availability:

  • Acetaia Malpighi Taste&Tour Museum, part of the Museimpresa network, in via Vignolese 1.487, Modena (300 meters from the Modena Sud motorway exit).
  • Piazza Roma showroom in the historic center of Modena, located in one of the city's most beautiful and evocative squares, in front of the Ducal Palace.

The Acetaia Experience includes:

  • Visit to the production rooms and explanation of the production techniques of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI: this is where the sensory experience begins, in these magical places that, thanks to the microclimate (hot in summer and cold in winter), house the barrels made of the finest woods where the product slowly matures. Thanks to the display of working batteries, it is possible to learn the techniques of decanting and refilling.
  • Free guided tasting of all the products in the Acetaia Malpighi Collection: Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI, Dark Condiments, White Condiments, flavored Condiments, Balsamic Vinegar Pearls, and delicacies such as PGI Balsamic Vinegar chocolates and Saba. The tasting is "vertical" to gradually accustom the palate to the many flavors of Balsamic Vinegar, moving from the youngest to the oldest vinegar. At the end of the visit, it is possible to purchase the products from the Collection.
  • Upon request: it is possible to organize an aperitif based on specialties and excellences of the Modena area, including Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, a trio of cold cuts, "bensone" cake with Saba, Lambrusco di Modena wine, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO, and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI (option available for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 participants, for a fee).
