The Malpighi family started producing Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in 1850, when Pietro Malpighi, great-great-grandfather of the current president of the Acetaia, passed to his son Augusto a precious inheritance: the recipe for producing the real and genuine “natural Vinegar”.

That precious recipe has passed from hand to hand for five generations, five generations sharing the same passion, the respect for a strong tradition that has been conducted for a long time until nowadays.
Pietro, then Augusto, Grandmother Maria, Ermes (among the founders of the Consortium and AED Master Taster) and today Massimo, who is the president of the family business.
Time has passed, the spaces are now bigger and today we take care of more than 3.000 barrels where the real Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena rests and ages, a treasure that only those who have experienced it can bear into their heart.
