The Malpighi Award was born from the desire of the Malpighi family, custodians of the tradition of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP for five generations, to celebrate Italian art and excellence in all its forms. Just as a precious Balsamic Vinegar requires decades to reach perfection in centuries-old barrels, so the work of art is The fruit of a mastery that defies time and is passed down with passion.

Established by the historic Maison of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the award aims to honor the best pictorial work exhibited in the prestigious setting of Modenantiquaria, a leading international event for high-end collecting.

The Award's scientific committee, composed of renowned art historians, selects each year a work capable of standing out for its expressive power, chromatic quality, and historical value.
