Five generations of our family have led the tradition, the passion, and the secrets of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, this great excellence of the Modena lands, from the past to the present day.

The Acetaia Malpighi brand is recognised globally as a luxury craftsmanship brand Made in Italy, thanks to the diffusion and internationalisation of the Balsamic lifestyle that follows a single thread: excellence.
The family passion has become a solid business reality, exporting 70% of its production across borders.

Since 1997, the company has been run by Massimo Malpighi, Acetaia Malpighi’s fifth generation: tradition, passion, and intuition are the driving qualities that have led the brand to establish itself as one of the leading producers of high-quality Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
Since 2015 Massimo is a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic; he is a teacher at IFSE, the only culinary school in Italy to be recognized as an Italian excellence, a popularizing center of Italian food and wine culture. He lectures on business marketing at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

He sits on the Board of Directors of the Consortia for the protection and safeguarding of the authentic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the authentic Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
